The following article explains how to set the time and time zone in cPanel. The timezone can either be based on the location of the server (EST) or a time zone of your choosing.

To set the time and time zone, please follow these steps:

1. Open a web browser and connect to your cPanel Control Panel located at https://ip address:2087.
2. Log in as the Administrator using the information sent to you in your setup email.
3. From the Server Configuration menu, click Server Time. 
4. Select your time zone from the drop-down list. 
5. Click Change TimeZone.
6. Click Sync Time with Time Server to sync the time with the time zone.
